Over the past few days, reports of anywhere from 50,000-200,000 people have been reported dead inside the Haiti capital of Port Au Prince. From over 30 miles outside the city, thousands more are also victims to the death and destruction of a magnitude 7.0 earthquake.This is a country that was already very much in need prior to this disaster. 80% of Haitians live in poverty, with its cities being some of the most densely populated and least developed in the world.
